a term coined in Call of Duty, referring to when a player using a sniper rifle aims in at an enemy combatant, holds his or her breath, and pulls the trigger in one fluid motion. also not to be confused with a quick scope
noob:dude, did you just see that crazy quick scope!?
seasoned gamer: shut up, noob, that was a hard scope.

Used when using a sniper rifle (preferebly in a fps). Hard scoping is when you aim down your sights for more than about half a second it is known to be 'noob' especially in a 'quick scope' battle

A form of the trick shot in CoD. The "high-speed hard scope" is achieved by hard scoping on sensitivity 14. You must zoom with a sniper rifle and quickly move across the play field, while staying zoomed, until an enemy is in you line of sight. Pull the trigger without stopping your movement and it is a high-speed hard scope.
