Hubris is a mental state where someone (usually while playing a video game) thinks that he or she is the MAN. This is a common human trait however there are few who merit the reputation of hubris. One can tell when another displays hubris as trash talk, derogatory language involving relatives, siblings and sodomy are expressed. Hubris often leads to a person's downfall or humility especially after being defeated and excuses are often made. Hubris is often found in dorms and buildings where video games take place however there are a few exceptions.There are many forms of hubris and is often perceived as a fatal flaw.

Here is a display and verbal use of hubris.

"A person taking off his shirt after a game and make rubbing it into the other player's face." This often results in the man displaying hubris to put a shirt on.

This is merely a verbal display of hubris

"Look at you, you come out of pipes and I step out from darkness." The one displaying hubris was later teamed upon on and thoroughly destroyed.

Hubris Hollister

A general pseudo name for a snobby, shallow, prissy, materialistic good looking men who shops at Hollister, Abercrombie, American Eagle etc to achieve that “worn” look, but are too snobby to actually buy something from a thrift store for the authentic thing. Hubris Hollisters are usually self proclaimed foodies, define themselves as hipsters, exercise excessively and rarely have girlfriends. Hubris Hollisters are a detriment to themselves because of their obvious pathetic screaming cry to be cool partnered with the total lack of common sense to do naturally instead of “buying it at the mall.”

EVERYBODY under 30 knows at least 3 Hubris Hollisters personally!!! GENERAL EXAMPLES:
The majority of male students age 14 to 30 who either come from families with money or want to appear as if they do. Overeducated 30- somethings men with low self esteem problems. Foreigners trying to look American.

1. The act of over-tweeting pointless details of one's own personal life and/or opinions. You can often recognize a person with Twitter Hubris as you scroll through your timeline and realize that every other tweet is from that same person. Twitter Hubris can sometimes lead to one's own downfall.
