Usually, it involves a character, usually from a kids show, having a minor infraction, then suddenly his parents appear and grounds him for an incomprehensibly long period of time , usually at least 1 million years, then the character getting grounded walks away with huge internal screeches.
These videos are often very cringeworthy, with inanimated non-PNG objects and weird movements that defy physics being commonplace. They are so cringy that some mistook them as advertisements by Clorox.

It is a game which involves a group of people, preferably the more agile, to go to a children's playground (the more complex the better) and to have a contest as to see who is "it" and the others are to hide around upon the playground works while the person who is "it" tries to find these others while the "it" person has closed eyes or is blind-folded. The others can move to other areas of the playground but must take great care when moving or especially on the ground. If the person who is "it" calls out "GROUNDERS" while someone is traversing the ground to another area that person becomes "it". Another way to pass the "it" status is to tag someone.
The game usually becomes more fun if the participants are intoxicated on alcohol or marijuana or other things. It is also fun if a member is overweight or typically scared of jumping around or having one's eyes closed on complex surfaces!
Grounders is a game that I only know of existing in Vancouver, British Columbia but may exist elsewhere.

Minor injuries are quite common as a result of navigating the complex surfaces blind. These injuries may result in great humour to the other participants. Often, if one or more people have not yet been "it" or have tried to cheat, the others will gang up on them to put them in a position where they will more likely get caught.

Get the grounders mug.The so far most common and controversial type of videos on YouTube where a entity (usually user or fictional character) have misadventures in which he/she/they do something intentional and then get grounded for absurd amount of years by parents. The first video of this type, though not as the same formula of the videos nowadays, was a video titled "Diaper Grounding" by PoseidonGodofWater20 Productions, which it was uploaded in April 30, 2011. But as once, the first well-known grounded video was "Brian Gets In Trouble At School", uploaded on July 2, 2011 by Adamkleinschmidt2003.
They became popular with a video called "Caillou calls his Baby Sister Stupid / Grounded", made by African Vulture In December 2013 and later reuploaded by the FunEditor4 on November 3, 2018.
Not even the now-controversial programming site Scratch is free of these videos.

One player starts by counting to 10 at the bottom of the playground while the other players have to jump around the playground to avoid the person who is "it". The catch is that the "it" person must always have his/her eyes closed. He/she will roam around on the playground trying to tag the others. If someone gets tagged, they are the new "it".
One generally would stay on the playground, but there are occasions when he/she would jump off the playground into the sand to get from one place to another more quickly. If the "it" person hears that person running around, he/she may scream out, "GROUNDIES!". If the person who was running around on the ground gets groundies called on him/her is still on the ground, they become to new "it".
WARNING: Although this is a very fun game, it can be dangerous. Because one is jumping from one obstacle to another, hence, jumping from a slide to monkey bars, some people can really fuck up and miss, causing them to fall and get hurt, die, or even contract AIDS. Have fun playing!
