When someone born in Gorton a very rough neighborhood in Manchester, England leaves and tries to erase all traces of his/her past out of shame and embarrassment he has had a gortonectomy. It is a difficult procedure As they say you can take the girl out of Gorton but you can't take Gorton out of the girl.

I left Gorton 20 years ago but my gortonectomy is not yet complete.
