A geologist might geologize by zapping rocks with lasers, counting rocks, coloring maps of rocks, collecting rocks, climbing to collect rocks, looking at tiny versus big rocks, smashing rocks, dating rocks, licking rocks, screaming in rage at rocks, sniffing volcanic gas (which comes out of rocks), writing about rocks, and many other rock studying techniques.
