Refers to a moviemaking movement kickstarted in the South of the UK by a couple of directors who go by the names of 'Evil C' and 'BritMic'. Loosely affiliated with the British Underground Feature Initiative in reaction to the global financial meltdown of 2008 and subsequent austerity measures put in place by government.
That flick is so authentically shitty it must be part of the frugalwave.
