disnify

the act of altering a form of propaganda, media/news source, or historical reference with uplifting and blithe characteristics in order to cover up other less than reputable details or gain public attention for profit.
This club used to have a lot of shootings until they disnified it. Now, all kinds of people come here.

My daughter asked why her mother and I weren't together and instead of saying that her mother was a herpe-infested whore, i had to disnify it and say 'it just didn't work out'.

text away your dignity

1.) a term used when one desperately desires the physical company of another (regardless of whether or not such an act is be prohibited by the existence of long distance boyfriend/girlfriend) and tries to achieve this through texting
2.) When, after consuming alcohol or illicit substances, you decide to text inappropriate things to inappropriate people. The loss of dignity is especially mortifying if no response is ever received. Typically followed by vows to never drink again the following morning after checking your outbox.
3.) Drunk texting gone very, very bad. If "hey boy" by the Blow has ever seemed like it could be your theme song, you've probably texted away your dignity
hungover girl: "ugh look what i texted to deleted boy last night! and he never texted anything back?! oh god i'm going to have to hide from him forever"
her friend: "wow, way to text away your dignity"

dignity

Dignity is what people keep when they preserve their self-respect.
One with dignity demands respect and acts formally.
Acting with dignity can also mean navigating through a situation with eloquence and not losing one's cool.
One can lose their dignity temporarily but later gain it back.
If a girl consents to having a friends with benefits relationship with a guy, she may feel a loss of dignity after-wards if she would really rather have a boyfriend.
If you are drunk you lose your dignity.
