the act of altering a form of propaganda, media/news source, or historical reference with uplifting and blithe characteristics in order to cover up other less than reputable details or gain public attention for profit.
This club used to have a lot of shootings until they disnified it. Now, all kinds of people come here.

My daughter asked why her mother and I weren't together and instead of saying that her mother was a herpe-infested whore, i had to disnify it and say 'it just didn't work out'.
