Cratering

When used in the context of video games, Cratering refers to taking damage and/or dying from falling. Refers to the idea that when an object hits another object at high speed (in this case, your body hits the ground) it leaves a crater.

Hooray cratering into water when a death knight has waterwalking on.

sugar coating the snake

When a woman or man hides their true identity and makes themselves look sweet to lure in prey. A disguise that hides their snake like soul that has viperous natures but they need to look sweet to get close to someone to take advantage of them.

A woman who is a PHD student who wants a baby and then lures in a nice man to have sex with her. After she is impregnated, she then disposes of him and takes him to court for the money. The man is left wondering what the heck happened while she is taking him to the cleaners. But when she needs something she lures him back in with sweetness then bits into his jugular when he is at his weakest.

From real life:
she's changed a lot in the last month. Seems sweet again
but perhaps it is just sugar coating the snake

Catering to the Casuals

A phenomenon that occurs when a video game developer changes a game mechanic to make the game easier for new players. Alternatively, if a game developer lessens the skill gap, then this phrase fits the mould as well. This typically makes the game less enjoyable over a longer period of time

When call of duty added the perk “final stand” they were catering to the casuals.
