Victim blaming is blaming the victim for a crime they didn't commit. Victim blaming is being blamed for somebody else's actions.

Think of victim blaming as when someone's raped, they (police, judge, counselor, whoever) always ask the victim what they were wearing, how they were wearing it, etc.

Like a boomerang of guilt and shame; when you toss out a carefully constructed comment blaming another person for some issue, it turns around and implicates your guilt in the issue.

My comment blameranged when I pointed out that his project was causing a problem and it turned out to be some shared code I wrote.
