autoshotty

The term used as a nickname for the Benelli M4 (M1014) shotgun (also called the "XM1014") in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The term 'autoshotty' is used because the shotgun is semi-automatic, and thus the shotgun can shoot at a higher rate of fire than that of other shotguns.

A name used to refer to any kind of automatic shotgun. Autoshotties are commonly defamed as "noob weapons", however these are simply complaints that are made when people get rekt too many times by said autoshotty. Autoshotties were made popular by such guns as the AA-12 from Modern Warfare and the XM1014 from Counter-Strike.
