Aslan

THE Lion, creator of Narnia and son of the Emperor Over the Sea. Main character of "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe", and appears througout the rest of "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis. Lewis' idea of what Christ might be like in the world of Narnia. Based on the Turkish word for "lion". Will be voiced by Liam Neeson in the feature film premiering in December 2005.

Aslan is not a tame lion. But he is good. And he's certainly NOT an allegory.

auxlang

Short for "International Auxiliary Language". a language created by a person or a group with the purpose of facilitating international communication. Typically, auxlangs are simple, regular and try to be culturally neutral. Well-known examples include Esperanto, Interlingua and Volapük.

People often measure the success of conlangs by their number of speakers, but that criterion works only for auxlangs, really.
