A height considered to be very tall for girls, yet short for boys, although it’s actually not. The average male is nearly 5’10, yet 5’11 seems to be short according to woman. Being a 6’0 male will make all the difference in the world to women.

“Ugh I really want to date John but i feel like he’s too short, he's only 5’11!”

“You should date Brandon then, he’s 6’0!!”

Guy Fawkes Night in the UK, celebrating the Gunpowder Plot of 5th November 1605, when religious fundamentalists were thwarted in their attempted terrorist attack against the Houses of Parliament in the United Kingdom. A proposed new name for these celebrations in line with the modern tradition of referring to significant events using just numbers (although in the UK the day comes before the month).

A height complex which causes the majority of 5'11" men (and some 5'10" men) to claim to be 6'0". Men with this complex will often say things such as "I'm basically 6 foot" or "I'm 6 foot with shoes on" when asked their height. It is also commonly used to finesse naive young woman into meeting up on dating sites, as 6'0" is seen as far more desirable than 5'11".

Cathy was disappointed after finding out that her tinder date, Steve had used the deception of the 5'11 complex to trick her into meeting up. "He must've measured his height with shoes on" she thought.
