This is the term used for a band that didn't last very long in the limelight. They probably had their 15 minutes of fame and then split up, or abused drugs, or killed themselves, who knows. This is the term for any band that died out quickly.
Girl: "Why haven't One Direction released anything lately?"
Boy: "Because they split up, they're such a burnout band"

A place in middle and high school where cults are formed, friendships (and instruments) made and broken, and the source of the band director's greatest pride (but also their least favorite place in the world).
Band kid: hey, I'm going to the band room during lunch. Wanna join?
Non-band kid: sure
*enters band room*

Non-band kid: *passes out*
Band kid: *shrugs and joins the percussionists sacrificing a clarinet*

Clear up confusion.
1 Rack = $1000 or a G
10 Racks = $10,000 or 1 Band
Go to a bank withdraw $10,000 and it will have a Band labeled $10,000

I told that broke muth@fuk@ to run me a Band and we'll call it even. This fool only had a rack. That won't cover the down payment.
