The second definition was to be physically shaken up. It can also be modified in various ways to suit the situation including jar, jarring, or jarred.

Child: Johnny took my action figure!
Mother: John! Stop jarring his liver!

Friend 1: Do you want to go on the roller coaster?

Friend 2: No thanks, that ride really jars my liver.
