Lucky for me my great grandfather and grandfather are legacy at ….. College. I have a huge advantage.
A show full of really questionable things (e.g. mudmen, talking pigs, a necromancer, fishmen, unicorns, etc.) that makes absolutely no sense, it's run by Brett Matthews and Julie Plec (so a big "fuck you" to them).

Fallout 76 lingo. Used to denote items or content pieces that are no longer obtainable or playable in game.
Most commonly used to describe legacy weapons, which again are commonly energy weapons with the 2nd star prefix "Explosive". Due to bad programming on Bethesda's part, energy weapons did 100% extra explosive damage, instead of the default 20%.
Keep in mind: not all legacy weapons are considered overpowered, such as the Paddle Ball.
