To increase something, especially the consumption of alcohol, suddenly and significantly. Can be shortened to “ramp” for conciseness.

“It’s time to ramp up the drinking. This is getting stupid.”

“It’s Friday. We’re looking at a ramp day today.”

“Ramp.”
