Guy1: Me and Bianca had sex during the last forty minutes of 'Titanic'.
Guy2: Oh that happened when I was watching 'The Village'.
Guy1: I love Alternate Endings.

Actornaut

A hybrid word for the "Astronauts" that were supposed to be on the moon. But since the moon landing was a hoax, the were just actors in an elaborate TV production.

You can see the wires helping that "Actornaut" jump.

The film is slowed down to make it seem like the "Actornaut" is floating.

The FBI will eliminate you if you use the word "Actornaut" in an official document.

A girl or young woman that is heavily into the indie scene in regards to fashion and music and can be often found in trendy indie coffee shops reading or studying.

Alternate

Someone who is not good enough, up to par, achieves satisfactory expectations. Someone who would be the best at what they do if only they are given the chance, which they never do.

Friend 1: Hey! What happened to Cindy? I heard she went home.

Friend 2: Yea, she was only an alternate so they had better people in line before her. So she didn't get the position she wanted and was turned away.

A guy who fits into both worlds of bears (husky, chubby and/or hairy gay men and the men who love them) and alternative culture.

Often, alternabears will have visible tattoos, plugs in their ears or pierced septums. Sometimes, they also can fit the category as hipsters.

alternabro

An individual who closely inhabits the gray area between being a bro (i.e. Anheuser-Busch and Coors loyalists) and being a metro (i.e. men who watch Sex In The City). He is often spotted in the wild with semi-fashionable clothing from H&M or Urban Outfitters, but lacks more pseudo style and grace (and superfluousness) of the scenester sect.

Of course that alternabro ended up with the asian Dashboard girl, who could deny his blazer and t-shirt combo?

Alternative

Alternative is a genre of music that emerged in the late 70s/early 80s and became popular in the 90s. The term "alternative" was coined in the 80s to discribe punk influenced, but hard to label college and or indie rock bands such as Violent Femmes, or The Pixies. Alternative became popular in the early 90s when bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Red Hot Chili Pepperswhere discovered by the mainstream music industry and MTV (witch played music at the time.)

Alternative is NOT: pop rock bands such as fall Out Boy simple Plan, Metro Station, Panic At the Disco or Paramore. Those bands lack the origanal content and creativeity that real alternative bands have.

Me: mostly alternative

Me:umm, i whouldn't call that alternative.

me: Radiohead, Nirvana, R.E.M, The Pixies, Violent Femmes,Pearl Jam, etc.
