Moon gooning is a sub-activity similar to Gooning involving Native Americans, spiritual experiences and copious amounts of illicit substances such as peyote. The moon goon session takes place usually at night and far away from society as the noise and light pollution can interfere with the experience. The exact location is irrelevant, however it needs to take place where man feels connected to nature. Usually several people will moon goon together, which can include but not limited to: Friends, certified religious practitioners from any faith, Native Americans, and even random strangers who agree to join in on moon gooning. The event itself can be done for however long is necessary for each member to become entranced by the sexual beauty derived by gooning while directly connected to nature. The use of substances such as marijuana and peyote are commonly used while moon gooning to create an even stronger sensation. It is advised to have at least one sober member to ensure the moon goon session is kept safe and does not endanger the lives of the other members, this trip sitter is commonly the religious practitioner accompanying the moon goon squad. Many activities can take place while moon gooning such as: star gazing, cross dressing, meditation, hunting wildlife (when in legal season), hiking, glazing and many more.
