The term originated from Black WWII veterans after returning back home from fighting fascist Nazis and were still being mistreated and called "black boy" by grown white adults and young white kids. These Black veterans along with their new found confidence, stood up for themselves and beat down a few white men and said, "I fought for my country...I dare you to call me boy again, white boy!".
