Cases of virtual domestic violence were on the rise since the coronavirus started, and guys were now virtually beating the shit out of their imaginary wives/imaginary lovers. Violence interrupters know they're there to provoke things further rather than to reduce anything, which is why they're not the funny kind of joke.
