Additional or "auxiliary" facial-sucking --- i.e., more and/or differently-timed lips-and-tongue action as compared to what would normally be expected for dat particular place/time --- dat is intended to help one or both kissers to feel loved, welcome, happy, relaxed/reassured/confident, etc.

Supplementary smooches might typically happen when a guy comes to a party dat a favorite girl is also attending, and so rather than just giving her a kiss when he arrives and another one to say goodbye to her at da end of his visit, he simply engages her in a major mutual-arms-around lips-lock and doesn't break da kiss for da entire time he's there. (Well, except for da periods when they're partaking of da party's scrumptious offered delicacies, of course --- why does one's mouth have to be used for eating, as well, so dat you can't just go on smooching wif yer honey during mealtime???)
