"new" meaning, it has been pointed out or emphasized by the media through celebrities and idealistic thinking.
Usually used to describe males who have feminine tendencies such as interests in fashion, personal hygiene, life style, etc. Mannerism has smaller influence with being "metro sexual", metro sexual can behave like the common male on for instance. The aesthetics and inner attitude is where they can differ.
Usually refered to as being almost homosexual, except prefers the female gender... or rather themselves.

Get the Metro Sexualmug. Metro Lock – also known as Tube locking, is when an individual or select set are placed in no mans land on a Metrolink or on the Tube. They have know where to hold onto during a bumpy, dodgy journey. Frightened and terrified and with the only one outcome, they lock onto the nearest salty passenger close at hand, holding onto dear life before they depart the Metro/tube and carry on with their daily majestic lives. Walking on, they and the poor helpless victim have just encountered Metro Locking!
