To understand feminism you need to read what Cher said in a Jane Pauly interview in 1996:

Pauly: You said: „A man is not a necessity. A man is a luxury“

Cher: Like desert..(Pauly laughs)..yeah

Pauly: Did you mean that to sound mean or bitter?

Cher: Oh not at all! I adore desert. I love men, I think men are the coolest, but you don’t really need them to live.

My mom once said to me: „You know sweetheart, one day you should settle down and marry a rich man“

and I said: „Mom I am a rich man“

My experience with men is great, because I pick them because I like them, I don’t need them.

Feminism

Feminism is, or is supposed to mean, equality in all things between men and women. It has however come to mean advocacy for the school of thought that believes women are better than men. This is not feminism. As a feminist, I believe that women and men should be given equal opportunities. Men shouldn't be expected to sacrifice for women because they are women, and vice versa. What has destroyed feminism today is a bunch of ignorant women who believe that because they are women, they have a right to think of themselves as better than men. That's not feminism. That's giving gender discrimination a role reversal.

Feminism doesn't translate to mean 'men are scum' . Stop calling yourself a feminist if that's what you think it is.

Feminism

Modern feminism is the movement of women and men that believe in equal rights. It also conveys strong views in society that what you wear does not mean women or men should be treated any differently. For example, your clothing does not give consent for sex. Your clothing does not make you a slut nore justify being slut-shamed. Feminists believe men shouldn’t be ashamed to cry or show weakness. They believe women’s bodies aren’t dirty and women and men should be able to embrace their sexuality and not be shamed for it. Feminists believe women’s bodies are powerful just like men’s are. We give birth and carry babies, what is dirty about that?

Feminism is a movement often mistaken for a group that try to claim things are sexist when they aren’t. For example, ginger bread men arent sexist because it’s a cookie and nobody cares about it’s gender. This has caused a lot of fake rumours regarding feminism and turned it into something it’s not.
