person who thinks their life occurences are more important than their friends. And always has some utter catastophe about to happen that must be analyzed by fifty million of their closest friends. And completely disregards their friends problems, bc despite already talking to their friends about the problem there is always some reason to tell it again, with more detail, and it is still as important as it was the first 500 times!

Girl 1-Uh why hasn't he called? I mean he asked me to come see him but he hasn't called me back in ten minutes.

Girl 2-My boyfriend of 2 years just broke up with me.

Someone who is a slave to their computer most likely with high speed internet connection.
They can be found doing countless things for hours some of which make completely no sense.
They can be doing useless desgins in adobe photoshop using images from google.com or playing mmorpg's for hours or chatting all day in chat rooms about nothing.
Lets not forget checking e-mails every 5 minutes.
If you touch the motherboard it is usually scorching hot and whirring like mad trying to desperately cool itself off.

Me- hey wutchu doing?
husband- checking my countless email boxes

(5 minutes later)

me- hey wutchu doing?
husband- making website designs

(5 minutes later)

me- hey wutchu doing bro?
bro- playing world of warcraft. look at my rogue he pwns!

prestige whore

Someone who makes choices about colleges, jobs, scholarships and internships on the basis of prestige, and revels in their exclusivity rather than picking the options that are most substantively interesting or actually enjoyable to them. For these individuals, the presumption is, if you didn't get the top-ranked option, you clearly must have been rejected.

Like many of the prestige whores in their senior year at Harvard, Jacob applied only to Yale Law, Harvard Med, and Goldman Sachs. It didn't matter which one he got, as long as everyone knew it was ranked #1.

Individuals like jesse jackson and al sharpton who seek out controversial incidents or subject matter to incite their followers' often violent reactions for the purpose of receiving attention.

It should be noted that Tension Whores are not limited to racial matters. Other notable Tension Whores include:
Rosie O'Donnell, Geraldo Rivera, and Jerry Springer.

Tension Whores should not be confused with simple Attention Whores.

The tension whores descended on Don Imus over his racially charged comments on TV and demanded his resignation.
