It is a categorization of social media site best applied to any social media site that largely resembles the user interface of the site X (formerly known as twitter). By this, the social media site must also be restrictive in its posting parameters to the degree or near enough to the degree that X (formerly known as twitter) used to have before its current rebranding and restructuring by the current owner.

Twitter is a social media created in 2006 by Jack Dorsey, the social media was known for its tweets, a form of posts with a limit of characters to input like in an SMS. The platform is mostly known to be the second most popular opinion social media after Reddit. However, this social media was bought and renamed X by Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and Space X. Since then, Twitter has never been that bad.
