Colleague-zoned

A contemporary phenomenon that occurs when Dating App conversation is saturated with career talk, becoming difficult to secure a date.

There are similar parallels to the ‘friend-zone’. Any attempt to escalate the match to a date is blocked by the girl saying “I feel that you are more like a colleague”.

When someone won’t go out with someone else because they’re like trash to them.

Person 1: Hey, I really like you and wanna go out with you. How about it?
Person 2: No way! All you ever did was criticize and belittle me. You made me feel horrible and you never cared about my feelings. You were messing with all those other people too and just broke their hearts and left them, treating them like toys for your amusement! You caused so much mess and destruction in everyone’s lives! You emotionally destroyed me! I would stay up nights crying because of you! I would never date you because you are trash! *runs away*

Dude-zoned

When a straight man calls a gay man who continuously hits on them "dude." This is usually done when the gay man does not respect that the straight man is straight and/or that they are in a relationship. However, it can also be done right at the beginning of any type of interaction between a good-looking straight man and a gay man to establish boundaries.

Guy about to be dude-zoned: "How fitting that your middle initial is D... hee hee hee"

Guy placing them in dudezone: "well yeah dude, my middle name is Darmesh so..."

A term used to stigmatize women for not having reciprocate feelings towards someone who is "into them". It is intended to make females feel bad for not liking someone in a romantic/sexual way.

This girl just left me in the Friend Zone. What a tight ass she is for not being attracted to each and every male human being she knows. And she DARES to think it is fine for us to only be friends? I can't believe I've been nice to her all this time and she isn't even gonna sleep with me.
