The Kevin of the group is a reference to Kevin Jonas of the band the Jonas brothers, despite being talented he is often overlooked seeing as the spotlight is given to his brothers Nick and Joe. Kevin is often known as 'the other Jonas' or 'the forgotten Jonas'.
