Tasks might include: packing the car, cutting the lawn, loading the dishwasher, etc...

Semi-tasking

To do multiple tasks at once, not really putting in much concentration nor effort.
I had so much to do yesterday that I was only semi-tasking most of it, so I basically got nothing done.

Equi-task

To allot equal time to several different tasks, each exclusively and in sequence. The opposite of multi-tasking, it encourages equal division of remaining time into regular chunks and assignation to each chunk a single task to be focused on exclusively. This is the opposite of the multi-tasking approach that tries to balance focus on all objectives concurrently.
"The human mind is not equipped to multi-task, but it can equi-task as though the software was written for the hardware in direct machine language."

"Equi-tasking is the load-balancing of executive time management."

Cassandrian task

Dealing with people you know won't listen to you, despite being provided accurate information, and watching them fumble about when you told them the solution from the start.

(Often witnessed in customer service or technical support)

Task dragging

A workplace behavior where an employee intentionally slows down their work pace—often under the guise of thoroughness or caution—to delay starting a new task, align idle time with scheduled breaks, or avoid additional workload. Common tactics include stretching simple tasks, repeating non-essential steps, and selectively working efficiently only when motivated or supervised. Frequently observed in environments with low task oversight and time-based productivity expectations, such as CNC operations or manufacturing roles.

quasi-tasking

/v/ Workin like a hunchback in a church. Doing multiple, endless, meaningless tasks. Usually for a demanding and self-righteous person.
Oh man, yesterday my mom had me quasi-tasking for hours.
Seriously? That's the sixth thing you've asked me to do in the last hour! Stop quasi-tasking me man!
