An actually decent app with a relatively awesome community, great
people, and good music. People like to bash it because of its rocky start, with people unironically making cosplay videos or sad depressing posts. Then the app was invaded by what's know as ironic TikTokkers, who made fun of the people posting "
cringe." Now, the app is filled with plenty of groups, such as LGBTQ+ individuals, artists, cosplayers, memers, and more, coming together to support each other and make new friends.
People who have only looked at
TikTok from the beginning and not what it's become as of 2019, tend to flood Urban
Dictionary with hate posts of how its users are "retarded," "cancerous," and "fags," when they
don't even know the difference between there, their, and they're. Stop trying to invalidate how people like to spend their free time.
"I really
don't
get why everyone is still hating on Tik Tok."
"Yeah, I just met the nicest girl the other
day on Tik Tok."
