A beautiful person who continues to bring out her artistry to the world. She has a mysteriousness to her that leads her audience into deeper desire of understanding her creativity. Her talent, beauty, and drive have brought her to the place she is today. She is a strong black female. She shows who she is and is extremely careful about how she portrays herself in the media. People take this for a fake and sometimes flighty character, but she doesn't give too much of herself away because she wants to keep a piece of her own integrity and protect her self and those that she loves. The talk of her improper speech doesn't have any merit. She talks properly and she's also from the south- Texas. All the esteem that she may hold for herself has been earned and supported by her many awards and kudos. Her parents have built, invested and supported her power-house of talent ever since the age of six.
-Her recent performance at the sixth annual BET awards have brought about much anticipation for her second solo album entitled B'day. She is also featured in the movie Dreamgirls- a role she has greatly identified with, following the development and stardom of a female singing group. (in theaters Dec. 22, 2006)
