Get the Sam coolmug. Double D Records/ New Nation Entertainment featured recording artist Unkle Sam was born Samuel Andrew Boyd on December 20, 1986. When he was seven weeks old, his family relocated to Murray, KY. That is where he stayed until the age of twelve when they moved to Buchanan, TN to be closer to his grandfather, the legendary country music artist, Jack Smith. Unkle Sam moved to Louisville, KY from 2004-2006 to pursue musical interests in a larger city. In Louisville is where Sam was discovered, branded "Unkle Sam", and developed his southern rap style. He made a name for himself in the Louisville music scene by performing with musical acts such as The Villebillies, KD, Nappy Roots, Juvenile, Goodfella, and the late Stephen "Static/Major" Garrett. After getting comfortable in the music industry, Unkle Sam moved back to Buchanan, TN until the untimely passing of his grandfather in August 2007. In September 2007, he moved back to Murray, KY to promote his new material and help get the Murray music scene on a roll. In March 2008, he hooked up with DJ Jay-Nice and his Bloodhound Entertainment label for a collaboration on the hit song "ROCKSTAR", which is featured on the newly released "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" mixtape available now. In April of '08, Sam hooked up with Theo Mackey, a.k.a. Fate Til Death, who was starting his new entertainment group, "New Nation". Unkle Sam jumped on board and is expecting to put out an album soon under Fate's "New Nation Entertainment Group" as well as his own, "Double D Records".
