Something that falls short of irony, but fits nicely for all the phenomena people usually assign to the word irony. Means bad luck, "a horrible coincidence", "the stupidity of man", "the mean-spiritedness of whomever's in charge of the universe." Refering to the lyrics of the Depeche Mode song, "Blasphemous Rumours".
Rain on your wedding day, a free ride when you've already paid, and good advice that you just didn't take are not examples of irony, but those things are definitely Depeche Mode-ical.

All range mode is where you paint flight numbers on the sides of your legs, put on a pilots helmet, get a huge boner, and go streaking in a crowded area steering your body with your overjoyed unit. If you sense trouble, do a barrel roll.

Wearing a long-sleeve shirt, sweater, or jacket with shorts in order to maintain upper and lower body thermal comfort. Named after the air conditioner mode in a car where cool air comes from the face outlets and warm air from the foot outlets to maintain superior comfort. This also allows for the easy transition to Max Cold mode (short sleeves with shorts) at a moment's notice.

The next level of beast mode. When you are in Forrest Gump mode, you can do various things ranging from squatting 800 pounds, sprinting all the way through a marathon, standing on your pinky toes for an hour, and jumping over 20 ft walls from a stationary stance, all within the same workout. Forrest Gump mode can only be reached after perfecting beast mode, and takes practise and dedication to get into but can be greatly rewarding. If you find yourself shovelling through different workouts effortlessly, you are transcending from beast mode into Forrest Gump mode.
during weekdays when i go to gym i'm in beast mode but when the weekend oasis arrives I transcend into forrest gump mode and defy the laws of the universe FUCK YEAH FORREST GUMP MODE
