An amazing band whos psychedelic music can be appreciated by a large audience.
They don't care if they're labeled indie, they just want their music to be heard. To quote band member Andrew VanWyngarden, "The Rolling Stones weren't an indie band." So before you decided to tell someone they aren't a true fan just because they heard MGMT on TV, shut up.
Before you let the label of "psychedelic" turn you off, listen to one of their songs. I suggest Boogie Down, Kids, and Destrokk.
