Term to describe people who take issue with things on behalf of other people or groups they don't necessarily belong to themselves.

They don't know what they're talking about they're just 'cosplainers'

copsplaining

when a law enforcement officer (COP) rambles on making up some BS to try to make him sound like he knows what hes talking about when he actually doesn't

an officer is COPSPLAINING when they say things like:
is for my pretection that you take your hands out of your pockets.....
they don't want you here in this public building so you have to leave and we can trespass you.....
you can't record them in public they have a right to privacy

Cansplaining

When you're talking about the, generally winter, weather and a Canadian starts telling you about how that's 'not really cold' or 'you want to know whatnreal cold is?'
Completely unprompted of course. They will crawl out of the woodwork to tell you how not cold the weather you're experiencing is.

Person: 'Man it's freezing here. It's only 35 degrees.'
Canadian: '35 freedom units? That's only 2 celcius. It's -23c here right now if you want to talk about REAL cold.
Person: 'Are you cansplaining winter to me? This is Texas, our homes aren't insulated for this.'
Canadian: 'No, you're right, I'm sorry.'

Complainstorming

When creative professionals gather under the auspice of generating ideas, but really intend to bitch and moan about their jobs/workplaces/projects/colleagues.

When someone comes into work with a hangover, and is intent on reminding everyone in the area by complaining every 20-30 minutes.

Guy 1: Whats wrong with her? She has been bitchy all day!

Guy 2: She went out drinking last night, she is sporting a complainover.

complainstorming

Like brainstorming, except you list complaints about something, and then list the opposite of each complaint. Makes use of people's natural tendency to complain in a constructive way, in that you end up with a more complete picture of what you do want.

We tried brainstorming a solution to scheduling during holidays but only came up with the same old same old. So we switched to complainstorming, and came up with a dozen really good solutions.
