A play on the term “Boomer” referring to the baby boomer generation. This group of gen Z goers are the coolest kids around who spend the majority of their day on TikTok or playing among us. This term is so perfect because this generation has had to adapt to life online through the platform “Zoom” during quarantine times, in order to not catch the Coronavirus.

Grandma: Can you set up a meeting for grandpa’s birthday?
Grandson: Sure we can host a Zoom for the family
Grandma: You are so tech savvy
Aunt Karen: No he’s just a Zoomer

Noun. An older person who struggles to understand how to use the Zoom platform to communicate with others including mute/unmute, breakout rooms, etc.

Also known as a BZ.

He is such a Boomer Zoomer, every time we meet on Zoom he can’t get anything right, even after I have shown him so many times.

Ok zoomer

A response to a member of Generation Z who acts like political polarisation and reactionary conservatism were nonexistent before 2015-2016, not realising that this belief is a product of being a politically unaware child during the Bush presidency and the height of the Tea party movement.

Zoomer: I wish we could go back to the 2000s and early 2010s. We were all united back then and not divided by partisan lines.
