homer pick

The act of making a sports related prediction with a obvious bias towards one's home team. Normal sports statistics, common sense, or logic apply to the "homer's" train of thought.

Bob, from Dayton, Ohio, made a huge "homer pick" and took the Flyers to the championship game.

2.A choice made out of desperation resulting from the inability to decide.
