Rescue Blow

Derogatory title for members of the Providence Fire Department assigned to a Rescue Company (EMS Division).

Originated as a malicious term sometime from the 1960s-1990s when being part of the EMS Division was seen as lesser work by those on Engine and Ladder Companies.

Today it is used jokingly, especially in reference to how the department's Rescue Techs (Medics) are overworked.

"Rescue really blows."

rescue chick

Basically a woman that doesn't have anything in her life together, no job, no goals, not even a working relationship with their kids. And you don't find all that out until after you have already started investing feelings for them. The 1st few times you try to help those people out of their situation. After a while you start backing away from those types of relationships. Because you realize they have to fix themselves. If you try to assist them out of it, and they ain't putting in effort too. You realize real quick why they are in the situation they are in. (A male can fit this description too )

Some of you guys have never dated a Rescue Chick and it shows!
