Make it up to

Idiom.
To "make it up to someone" means to do something nice for them after you've messed up, like buying them a drink after you forgot their birthday or bailing them out of jail after a wild night. It's all about trying to smooth things over when you've been a total jerk.
Example: "I totally flaked on our plans, so I’m gonna make it up to her by taking her out for a night of debauchery and enough booze to forget I’m an idiot."

No Make-up May

Girls can’t wear make up in the month of may

Sort of like no nut November.
“Hey Susie have you heard of no make up may?”
“NO MAKE-UP MAY MEAN NO WEARING MAKEUP IN MAY!”
