Evidence-Based Biases

The collection of biases that arise from the misapplication of "evidence-based" thinking—treating evidence as a magic word rather than a practice, demanding evidence asymmetrically, mistaking certain kinds of evidence (usually quantitative) as inherently superior, ignoring the values and assumptions embedded in what counts as "evidence," and using "evidence-based" to dismiss any claim that doesn't fit narrow evidentiary standards. These biases don't reject evidence—they fetishize it, turning a valuable tool into a weapon of dismissal and a shield against genuine engagement with complexity, uncertainty, and other ways of knowing.

Example: "His Evidence-Based Biases meant he demanded randomized controlled trials for community wisdom that had worked for centuries—not because he valued evidence, but because he valued only his kind of evidence."

Gold-Star Bisexual

The bisexual counterpart to the Gold-star Lesbian (never slept with a man) and Gold-star Gay (never slept with a woman), a 'Gold-star Bisexual' is a bi person who has never been physically intimate with a member of the opposite sex unless those partners have themselves had same-sex sexual relations. Bi people keep their 'gold star' if they have only been in gay relationships, except for some straight relationship(s) with definitely non-straight person(s). i.e. A bisexual who has only been with other card-carrying gays and bisexuals.

e.g. A bisexual girl who has only ever been with girls, or a bi girl who has almost entirely been in WLW relationships except for one man who's had plenty of MLM (homosexual) experience.

Usage: "That's not comphet and in what world are men easier to date? I'm bi and I'd never hook up with a straight guy (which is valid but if it's a recurring thing then yeah your attraction to dudes is so strong it trumps how douchey and annoying they are compared to any random girl). Maybe I'm too much of a gold-star bisexual or whatever, but can everyone waving around a 'queer' identity while somehow only ever dating straights just admit and come to terms with being heteroflexible or bicurious and move on? You don't get brownie points becouse you'll cope with your ugly boyfriend by finding a female sneaky link for a night to toss aside after, or worse, be a unicorn hunter to take advantage of some girl to use to fulfil your man's gross lesbian-fetish fantsay."

The antifurry fandom genesis [NON-BIASED, ok?]

The earliest recorded antifurry is hopingbutton , channel first creation is 2011 in his description . He owns the largest antifurry server IN THE WORLD and incredibly popular , even big antifurry youtubers like haloguy7 and other indie ones there are more incredibly small always uploading AF channels than the number of furry subscribers and youtubers they are is which is funny all link him in descriptions hopingbutton isnt even too popular with new AF's .He started doing videos about yiff and other terrible shit, getting himself a reputation and igniting a small community that made a huge meme called Furries VS gamers in 2019/2017 i think.

Furries are much older of a concept than antifurries and recently the community has been struggling to even get people as furries still expand with the BURST of former antifurries after the meme .

The principle that bias operates in two modes: absolute bias (distortions that are always and everywhere problematic) and relative bias (perspectives that are problematic in some contexts but valuable in others). The law of absolute and relative biases reconciles the need to reduce harmful bias with the recognition that complete bias-freedom is impossible and that some "biases" are just perspectives.

She invoked the law of absolute and relative biases: some biases are universally harmful (she wasn't expressing those), others are just perspective (her cultural lens was inevitable, not malicious). The question wasn't whether she had bias—everyone does—but whether her bias was distorting or merely situating."

The idea that biases, logical fallacies, and similar cognitive and rhetorical distortions can be generated recursively and generatively from virtually any starting point. Because humans are pattern‑seeking, self‑justifying, and social, we can construct accusations of bias against any claim, and those accusations themselves can be accused of bias, ad infinitum. The theory explains why online debates often spiral into endless meta‑discussion about who is committing which fallacy, and why attempts to purge “bias” from discourse tend to produce new biases rather than eliminate them.
