Ryan Move

A transaction in fantasy football where the move fringes on the fairness of the game. A move that takes advantage of a person of lesser knowledge. A move that happens immediately after a breaking news where no other player (especially those who are busy working) has a fair opportunity to seize an opportunity solely based on timing.

Ryan immediately picked up superstar QB after he was cleared of all rape charges. No more then 30 seconds past before the transaction occurred in our fantasy league vs actual news announcement. That’s a Ryan move

spook move

The act of covertly excusing yourself from a gathering, typically for a family celebration of some sort, where others try to use you as a free babysitter because "you don't have anything going on" or someone asks you to do something at work that's not in your job description.

Usual suspects are that one cousin who's a cheep skate and has notoriously bad behaving children, or the well meaning mother that talked another family member into "getting you used to kids" in hopes of having more grandchildren.

That one lazy co-worker who preys on the kindness of others to get their work done for them. You know who you are.

"John, can you watch Sarah and Tom for a few hours while Jennifer and I go out to dinner?"

"Let me get back to you on that."

*spook move out the back door 10 minutes later*

Later phone call from John, "Hey I missed you leaving, so what do you say?"

"I just got *insert excuse*, sorry."

Classic Kinda Move

When someone says one thing but does the opposite shortly after, in a way that feels insincere, deceptive, or even a bit manipulative. It’s the kind of behavior that comes across as snake-like, showing a clear disregard for the trust or understanding built in the prior conversation.

Person 1: "Hey Kinda, you want to play video games later?"
Kinda: “hello, won't be availabale today sorry”
An hour later, Person 1 sees Kinda online, playing a game with other people.

To throw a temper tantrum when things don't go your way.

John McEnroe would throw the biggest tantrums in the world of tennis. They were amazing to watch. They would evolve and grow like fine wine. He was the master and inventor if the McEnroe Move.

Gina pulled a McEnroe Move when she didn't get the big promotion. She started throwing things around her office.

Johnson didn't agree with the unsportsmanlike conduct call and spit at the referee. Total McEnroe Move.
