Tanking

The art of (Especially in a video game) doing nothing to counter (I.E. dodging, parrying, ETC. (Typically an effect like a buff that raises defence would not fall under this category)) a damaging blow, (Typically a heavy attack or flurry of attacks) typically without dying.

Player: "Geez he really tanked a sniper rifle shot? He should be dead. God damnitt I hate ping so much get gud internet bro"
Nerd: "Tanking is possible with the perk e-"
The player's IRL gun: "bang"

Tank Top Al is a gamer. He will excrete noises such as loud screaming. He is a man among boys, the only true chad you'll ever meet. He wears only a singlet and running shorts and boy does he rock it. The word that is often coined to describe the armored car that drug gangs often ride in for a number of cases. Most commonly it is used to fight of other drug gangs while being in cover. The car is normally black to allow the car to blend in to the night life of most commonly Mexico. Reinforced steel allows the car's passengers to be protected while in it.

Gang member 1: Shit, what's that coming down the road.
