Tanking

The art of (Especially in a video game) doing nothing to counter (I.E. dodging, parrying, ETC. (Typically an effect like a buff that raises defence would not fall under this category)) a damaging blow, (Typically a heavy attack or flurry of attacks) typically without dying.

Player: "Geez he really tanked a sniper rifle shot? He should be dead. God damnitt I hate ping so much get gud internet bro"
Nerd: "Tanking is possible with the perk e-"
The player's IRL gun: "bang"

Shark tank

A show where people talk behind closed doors because if a contestant could actually open the doors and look behind them, they wouldn't be sharks, they would just be funny looking people like the ones that lived next door or down the street from you as a kid.

The shark tank wasn't full of sharks, the contestants were full of shit.
