So Vegetarian

When a person does or says something that is so undeniably characteristic of a vegetarian.

Examples:

Zach- "That'd be so great if I could get some extra spinach on that. I love spinach!" Person- "Man, that's So Vegetarian of you."

Person- "So you're vegetarian?" Zach- "Yeah, except for bacon." Person- *shakes head and thinks, "That's So Vegetarian."

Zach- "I woke up at 5 am today." Person- "It's Saturday..." Zach- "World Cup qualifying match. USA will win one day. Want a piece of my tofu?" Person- "Yup, should have known. So Vegetarian"

Zach- "I'll never change my Facebook profile picture. I love the plants in the background." Person- "Why?" Zach- "It was my prime...I don't want to disappoint people when they see a picture of me now" Person- "So Vegetarian."

Compromise Vegetarian

Someone who would be vegetarian for ethical reasons, who agrees philosophically with vegans and vegetarians, but who can not restrict their diet in a strict or inflexible way. Rather than eliminating meat and/or animal "products" from their diets, the compromise vegetarian lessens the impact of his or her diet by restricting animal consumption, eating much less meat than typical, scheduling vegan or vegetarian meals whenever possible, but not turning down any food they might need on the appropriate occasion.

"We ran out of money for food this month and got canned chili at the food bank today, so we're just going to have to be compromise vegetarians."
"The dairy industry is destroying the planet's water, but we have WIC and are too poor to turn down free cheese and dairy, I guess that makes us compromise vegetarians."

A vegetarian that will occasionally eat meat if they are put in a certain situation and wish to do so

Mike: Hey Annabella that's meat you are eating I thought you were a vegetarian?
Annabella: I'm an opportunistic vegetarian and there is not much else to eat while we are camping!

A) A person who forgoes the pleasure of eating meat, despite not neccessarily being under any duress to do so.

B) A person who has watched the movie 'Babe.' Probably.

C) A person who perhaps believe that omnivores are ignorant towards veggies, a belief that gains substance from comments such as definition 'B'.

D) A person who, judging by other definitions of the word 'vegetarian' on this website, will become rather touchy when it is suggested that they constantly preach to non-vegetatians.

Would you like some steak?

No thanks, I'm a vegetarian.

Fair enough. More steak for me then!

vegetarianism

vegetarianism is an alternative away of life that don't allows people to eat meet and fish. Some people follows it by ethical reasons, others follows it for health reasons. Do'nt forget that with a vegetarian diet you consume proteins that are mostly in meet and fish but you don't consume the fat that eat and fish normally have. and following vegetarianism you are avoiding killing animals.

Charles is vegetarian. He follows the vegetarianism.
