alphabet soup

A term that is used as a euphemism to describe someone who has contracted HIV or AIDS. The soup reference comes from the letters found in the alphabet that spell out the names of the variation of the disease (i.e. HIV the virus that causes AIDS).

Alphabet Mafia

Originally used as a term to make fun of lgbtqia+ people as the joke was that there were so many terms it seemed like the mafia with its ranks. Now the term has been coined in tiktock and now is a way to tell someone you're lgbtia+ along with different names for each identity.

Examples include general (gay), lieutenant (lesbian), brigadier (bisexual), major general (trans), etc.

Person 1: I'm part of the alphabet mafia
Person 2: that's cool I'm a brigadier what are u
Person 1: I'm a lieutenant.

The ever increasing number of 3 letter government agencies. Used commonly by libertarians to describe the bureau of Alcohol, Tobbaco, and Fire (ATF). Other agencies that may be referred to are FBI, CIA, DHS, CDC, NSA, DEA, and many more.
