A concept in physics concerning the counter-intuitive motion and mechanics of subatomic particles. Despite not applying to anything larger than an electron, quantum mechanics is often lamely invoked by pseudoscientists to justify whatever ridiculous phenomenon they are proposing.

The term is a reference to the TV show where the lead character is trapped in time and travels therein by leaping into the body of someone in the past, but having no idea who he is or why he is there. In order to leave the body, the lead character must figure out what "situation/conflict" must be resolved or wrong must be righted by the host body. The people around him assume he is the person whose body he occupies, so anything he does, the people around him think it is the host body doing it.

Get the Quantum Twizzler mug.Oh man, I was talking with this completely stupid mother. She asked me: "Would you know how she could make my four year old kid eat spinach?"
I told her: "Sure, just take a basic sope bar, without parfum or any other bad ingrediants. Cut the sope into smaller pieces and garnish it on a delicious sandwich. That he must eat. Afterwards he will like spinach."
And she actually believed me. But unfortunately for the kid, it had his stomach pumped out for eating too much sope. I was quantum caring about this situation.
