You put the ice in the round "bowl", use a Bic lighter or a torch and put the flame under the bowl to melt the ice and put your mouth on the other end , at the stem, and inhale the smoke, rolling it from side to side so as not to burn the dope in the bowl. Thats called rolling a bowl .
