A township that is a dumping ground for fringe and hate. I define this literally without mentioning any particular groups of people.

York River Academy is a school for computer nerds. There are a few of us who survive and make it out alive, but I've lost a few comrades. If you do choose to come here, come prepared. You need a strong will to survive the 'Traps'. May Mother Russia be with you, and god speed my guy.

When one individual within a team or group speaks first during a presentation, however during their speaking they cover all of the notes which were meant to be covered by the group as a whole. This generally renders the rest of the group in a awkward and unpleasant situation of not having any information to contribute to the discussion.
River, Dave, and Alex are all presenting a project on elephants. They have a 2 page summary of notes.
River is the first to speak, and in his brief time speaking he covers all 2 pages of notes. This leaves the rest of the group with nothing to say.
This is "The River Effect" , everyone else in the group is stuck awkwardly stumbling for things to say or contribute.

A place a bunch of yuppies move to, to think they live in the "country" and complain about everything. The slowest driving place you'll ever drive in your life. Nosey ass neighbors and dogs/cats running around like a fuckin petting zoo. Deer are suicidal, they're dead on the road everywhere. Did we mention slow driving?

Corporate department with little to no regard for the well-being of their employees, who come and go quickly because of this. It stops being considered a River Office as soon as an employee lasts for longer than 1 month working there.
Tyrone: Damn, every time i go to Gamestop©️ they have an entirely new roster of employees
Jaquanda: Well I heard the boss beats them up on a daily basis and never actually pays salaries. No wonder it is a River Office
