Academies@Englewood

A school with smart, dumb weird people that shares a campus with the less intelligent Dwight Morrow High School. This school is a copy cat of Bergen Academies. Its a school where you may not want to go to, the work is not as hard as it is abundant. "Where the weak are slain and eaten." If you dont think you can handle 2 hours of homework per night, dont go here. Also, if you are easily irritated by racist White, Indian, Middle Eastern people, dont go here either. Its located in the town of Englewood, which is boring and has little to offer. Although its a good school its super weird and annoying. When you go here you are bound to see someone doing something weird or some girls pretending to be lesbian. We have to take mandatory clubs and electives. When we graduate we'll have a lot of credits, but will have cried many tears as well. I am a sophmore and have cried more times than i can count these 2 years. Please, be prepared before you come here.

Also..beware of snobby, middle-class girls, with their coach sneakers and Prada glasses.
There are an excessive amount of eEmo kids. There are many interracial couples that talk about anime and Bamboozle.

colorado academy

Ridiculously stuck up school, where everyone is white and rich and hates anybody thats not. If you dont wear Abercrombie or American Eagle than you're a freak. The kids who think they're "badass" couldn't survive one day at a public school.

Suicide Girls Academy of Style

When you see a girl walking around with seven ponytails, each one in a different completely unnatural colour, standard-issue piercings in all the standard-issue places, and standard-issue tattoos all over the place ... in an outfit of that special over-the-top gothic style that marks someone who's trying way too hard ... and who has obviously sunk many hours of time, many thousands of dollars, and her future prospects for a career outside the sex industry into looking like a bizarre species of camwhore, odds are she holds a diploma from this fine institution.

The Academy of Notre Dame

An awesome place where awesome girls go to listen to the shins, death cab, and other cool indie bands in their awesomely eighties volvos that may or may not BREAK DOWN on the way to school. For this reason, I'm having trouble understanding why other onliners are criticizing nd girls for blaring 50 cent in the their flashy hummers, cause i honest to god haven't seen any nda gals like that around in a while.

Why, the Academy of Notre Dame? Those high schoolers are great, but why are they always putting down their SUPER COOL junior schoolers???!!!???

thornton academy

The semi-private high school in Saco, Maine that has recently expanded to include junior high grades as well. Thornton Academy provides schooling for neighboring towns as well; Dayton and Arundel as well. Out of town citizens can pay for their children to attend Thornton Academy. The school offers many amenities that a public school cannot. Also, because they are private, they have more funding from tuitions for athletics and arts.

"Hey, did you go to Thornton Academy?"

"I did. Thornton is my alma mater."

academic social immobility

The inability of an individual's social status to change in a school hierarchy. Can also apply to colleges and universities. Usually a consequence of a school environment where cliques are a strong and omnipresent force. Generally results in cliques sticking together for longer than usual, stark contrasts of quality in the social lives of individual students, and close relationships (plus other social luxuries) being limited to the school alpha males and alpha females while those less fortunate are crushed through drudgery such as homework. Antonym of "academic social mobility".

One of the foundations of an elitist "student body" is academic social immobility. Wherever you happen to be in the school hierarchy, whether you be popular and successful or excluded and oppressed, you will stay there for the rest of your school days.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy is a very dumb but learning sites for children. One thing Middle Schoolers hate about Khan Academy is that dudes voice. That thing is so fricking annoying!

Teacher- Now Khan Academy is for homework.
