Repetitive text bombardment

To send more than one message to a person before they have a chance to reply, making the sender seem needy. The sender often doesn't understand that the receiver probably cant reply because they cant get to their phone at the moment, so repetitive messaging is pointless.

When I switched on my phone I had five messages from Sam. Serious repetitive text bombardment.

columbo text

Deliberately omitting a vital (or not) piece of information from a text, only to send it in a second text a moment later, prefixed with the phrase "just one more thing" - either for the purposes of annoyance, or simply because its awesome.

Texter A: hey man, you still on for pizza?
Texter B: yeah, I'll see you there
Texter B: just one more thing...cool. Trololo
Texter A (having had to get his phone back out) : fucking columbo text

a text signaling that something is taking too long to respond to your text. Basically sending a bunch of messages to signify that your waiting for this person to reply to you.

Man i had to send Marissa a signal text, because she wouldn't answer me.

That strange condition of instant intimacy afforded through text message conversations. An unanticipated emotional closeness facilitated through the use of messaging technology.

Susan had simply exchanged glances and phone numbers with that guy who tried to pick her up on Friday. Over the next two days, though, through a series of tete-a-texts, she was amazed at all the personal stories about herself she'd given away.

Lost in textation

When one is so absorbed in texting on their cellular device you cannot break their attention from it. Often they are looking down at their phone while you are trying to get their attention.

Johnny was lost in textation, I tried to get his attention but he continued to stare at his phone as he texted Joey. Finally when he finished his conversation he looked up and said, "What?"
